Not all extensions in VSCode works in VSCodium, apparently. As well as, extension creators might not give VSCodium users any support or bug fixes - they don't care.
Anyway, nice to see what Telemetry actually entails!
I am just finishing an article on comparing VSCodium to VSCode, and speak about extensions also. Some Microsoft extensions are only allowed to be used with VS Code according to their license. In some cases they will not run in VS Codium because the extension checks the product.json config of the editor.
I have written a dozen extensions and I publish them to the VS Code marketplace and the Open VSX marketplace through a GitHub action. I support the extensions I have published. I cant speak for others.
