What do you think of the idea that apple would build its own search engine?

I think apple is too much of a product company producing integrated hardware and software and has always struggled with services (someone already mentioned maps).

Maybe if they created a separate org with broad freedom to operate they could pull it off?

There would be a subscription-only search engine that removes ads. And a pro engine version which could be used to search images.

Can only be opened in a web browser installed in Apple products.

Let's hope it doesn't go the same way Apple maps did 😅
