If you protect something with cors, you actually just restrict to view the response in the browser. The server will still process your request and do all the things like creating stuff in the database or fetching data.


CORS is frustrating, but not having it would be more frustrating.


CORS can be frustrating. I recommend this article which should help you understand why it is used.


CORS is great, problably one of the better security features that browsers added. :)
