Learn with me 5

Hey! fellow devs. I hope you are doing fine or maybe doing not so good, but I hope you are living. So after a long gap, I am writing the 5th part of the learn with me series. Today I will share my experience of learning how to Html and CSS. I will also tell you guys about the climactic end that I gave to my learning experience.

If you read my earlier blogs, you already know that I was a newbie and was trying to learn from the root. So to do that I gave enough time to my basics and developed the problem-solving instincts later in the learning curve. I at first followed a YouTuber of my origin and started learning from him. Followed his instructions very carefully and did what he did in his tutorials simultaneously. The beginning is always fun. You get to see new things and develop curiosity about the subject. But as time goes you start to lose interest in coding. While that is a huge problem, but there is always a solution. But discussing my solution I would love to point out the fact that if you are a developer you always face this problem or that's what the guys on the internet said. So you constantly need to find ways to deal with it. I guess that is a price you need to pay for becoming a developer. But don't get me wrong, there are times when coding is really fun. And that's why I am here and explaining it to you. So the thing that worked out for me was different communities. The developer communities is a blessing of the creator to all the beginners. It is such a great community that sometimes you feel like you are in a dream. You see if you have any problem you search for the solution in google and there are hundreds of post explaining what you should do and what you shouldn't. And even if that doesn't work for you I will recommend you sharing your journey in a community.

Now coming back to Html and CSS, I finished all the youtube videos from a playlist and went on to check other playlists to see if I was missing anything. I found out some scattered tags and properties that I should know and tried them for myself i.e. display-grid, display-flex, map tag, etc. Then I decided to do something that would be both a learning experience and climactic. So I decided to make a website by only Html and CSS.

I was finally making a website after starting my experience as a full-stack developer last month. Now I didn't have the money to buy a domain or host for my site so I had to work with local repositories. After starting to code I learned that if you are making a 5-page site, it's not just 5-page. There are a lot of pages that you need to make just for your website to look good. And the most important thing that I learned was a menu with a dropdown list is not fun at all. I had to work a few more extra hour just get it right. Well at the end I managed to give my website a skeleton and a body without organs. What do I mean by organs, well many of you already know that I am talking about javascript. So my next target is to learn javascript which may take some time. After finishing that I will post another blog in sha Allah. Until then good luck, stay happy, stay blessed.
