Highlights from Microsoft Build 2023
MSBuild, Microsoft's annual developer conference, made its highly anticipated return as a hybrid event, combining both in-person and online experiences.
Held in Seattle, USA, from May 23-25, 2023, the conference kicked off with the opening keynote address from Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella revolving around the announcements primarily related to Artificial Intelligence (AI). Nadella highlights five significant announcements, including bringing Bing to ChatGPT, Windows Copilot, Copilot Stack, Azure AI Studio, and Microsoft Fabric.
Build 2023 was primarily focused on exploring the vast potential of AI. With 400+ sessions from prominent industry leaders, the conference served as an excellent platform to interact and engage with brilliant mindsets from the developer community.
The sessions from MSBuild were mainly focused on AI, Cloud development, development tools, Data platforms, DevSecOps & SRE, and the like. Our team at Orkes delivered two impactful sessions on building modern distributed applications using Orkes Conductor.
Viren Baraiya, our CTO at Orkes & the Inventor of Netflix Conductor, delivered an informative in-person session around building modern applications with Orkes Conductor that spans microservices written in any programming language.
