My recommended reading list for new leads (in order):
"Leadership 101" John C Maxwell
Quick and to the point. Will help you get in the right mindset.
"The Manager's Path" by Camille Fournier
Much more detail, gets into the all the little bits about how leadership manifests in tech/software teams.
"The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership: Follow Them and People Will Follow You" by John C Maxwell
Classic leadership tome by Maxwell. You'll see it on "top 10 leadership books" lists and I highly recommend it.
Resist the urge to micromanage and get comfortable being in a meeting or a call when someone on the team needs to make a decision. Get to know your team and trust them to be the creators.
