Hello guys, how have you managed getting out of the tutorial plateau and making your own portfolio projects? I have been doing Python for close to 1 year now but haven't yet created an original project for my portfolio.
How can someone sell DevOps as a service? How did you get Started?
Well one place to start would be to look for remote gigs. One place to start would be 9n freelancing websites. That allows you to generate a clientele list which you can then use on your portfolio when you pitch to potential clients. Also theres no one size fits all a lot of trial and error is needed.
Just like there is a Remote Jobs for DevOps.
Example: Client wants xyz product with some CI/CD and full documentation + training
Devops guy: Sure, no problem.
What makes you Senior Devops Consultant vs just a DevOps Consultant?
Good question I guess I look at it from an experience standpoint.In my experience for some reason clients respond better to Senior devops consult, it also allows me to bring onboard less experienced devops engineers. Its purely optics.

It pretty vibrant there's a lot of tech incubators that have set up shop in the country. Yes we do have meetups and co-working spaces.
Do you work mostly with companies inside Kenya or based abroad?
Mostly based in Kenya. But if have been experimenting with upwork to look for companies abroad.
