I just learned about "Classes" yesterday and for some reason, the concept of superclasses and subclasses feel unnatural to me. Why is it that the subclass/child can have the functionality/prototype of the superclass/parent and more, but not the other way around. I understand how it works I guess I'm just not happy with the naming convention of Superclass and Subclass lol..

Hi ogbanana, the simplest example is literal heredity in biology.
You inherit traits from your parents, not the other way around.
