Reading this article, I felt like you were describing me. I also graduated with an computer engineering degree, but the focus was on low-level programming, and i didn't wanna do that. Like you, I was in love when I discovered web development for the exact same reasons. The path of courses you went through is almost identical to mine, except I've been learning for 3 years in my spare time, having a full time job for the entire time.
I'm now decided to switch careers and, looking back, I would have loved to read about your journey before I had started.

Two more additions that I'd like to make: James Q Quick has a youtube channel and compressed.fm as a web dev podcast -- highly recommend those!
Also, you might have already seen this, but check out the web developer roadmap by kamranahmedse github.com/kamranahmedse/developer..., which provides good insight into need to know/nice to know things :d
