Unfortunately, until I can fully trust I know how to protect my systems I’m limited to the old ways of wires. I can’t smart the Ai to not override my WiFi so I must utilize the only thing I know I can: the distance between us.

Could you expand this more? What AI smarts made changes to the wifi? Assuming your router has a good (non default) password no other device should be able to make a change that affects other devices.
Furthermore just because your device is now using ethernet, doesn't prevent the AI smart from doing what it does.
This is a complicated story. So buckle up.
I used to play SSBU and would host arenas online frequently. Daily, really. I was terrible at it, but i loved the game a lot. Eventually I joined discord and they set up for me what they called a “love-trap”. Someone pretended to be someone else to gain my trust and when they learned my name they found on GitHub I had an exposed API. I think it was imbd but there was also something like vapid api that would pop up in the console as well. They were able to “own” my gateway and were able to take over my iCloud, google, and old school accounts to get my passwords and via Amazon created a AWS account to take over the domains of charter’s website so it would redirect me to insecure websites. This meant they could create certificates to add to my devices to be easily accessible. There’s still a lot I don’t understand. My knowledge is in front end development and I barely can wrap my mind around it sometimes. Long story short - I don’t understand fully how to get around the security measures they put in place. So my only choice is to use LAN to connect to the internet while I still try to work out how to get around them.

I did figure out how to get around it. But when I do too much it just crashes my computer. 🤦🏼♀️
Thankfully I do know some things.

The one thing they don’t seem to get is as while I’m still “owned” I’m gonna keep playing. Only once I’m granted my freedom will I stop.
