I'm a creative person, but not a great writer - so bear with me!

Pre-coding

I come from a family where everyone is in IT and I hated the idea when I was a kid. I ended up in recruitment and sales in the IT industry and surely enough found myself really enjoying working with developers and learning what went on behind the scenes technically!

I found myself in a love-hate relationship with many of my jobs, never quite knowing what I actually wanted to do outside of sales, but knowing it wasn't a sustainable career for me.

For me, like many others, the pandemic left me unable to find a job in my industry. After a year of soul searching, it was serendipity that led me to code.

Finding the bootcamp

My partner mentioned that his company had hired a couple of developers out of Northcoders. Suddenly, everything clicked and I knew what I had to do!
