How do you receive error alerts?

I've set up a cron job that runs a python script throughout the day on a machine I don't closely monitor. If the python script fails I'd like to receive a notification to my personal device so I can address the situation.

What would you or have you used in this situation?

Email? SMS? Something else?

Looking for a simple solution. Ideally, I'd prefer not to set up a new email for this use case.
