I’ve tweeted about this before, but one way I’ve been able to get engagement on old posts is to leverage dev.to’s series feature.
A perfect example of this is my VS Code Tips series.
This week’s post came out
and as expected, folks were liking previous posts from the series.
If you haven’t already, try out the series feature!
Happy writing peeps!

Hey Nick, thanks for pointing that out. That's one of the most remarkable features I like about Dev. Many thanks to everyone who is constantly contributing to improving the platform.
Series do work well :) There are also a few more quick things you can do to get more people to read your posts. For example, targeting a specific audience, embedding following links etc.
I have listed ten tips for that in this post for those who are interested to get more reads and reactions :)
Nice!
In addition to newer posts bringing people to older posts in the same series, an additional benefit is that older popular posts that rank well in search results can bring people to the new posts in the series.
Yeah, I'm doing this for most of my posts.
Interesting 🤔
