📢 NFTScan Now Supports Polygon zkEVM Network for Both NFTScan Explorer and NFTScan API

On March 26, 2024, NFTScan team made an official announcement regarding the launch of the Polygon zkEVM NFTScan Explorer, offering a user-friendly and efficient NFT data search and query service for developers and users within the Polygon zkEVM ecosystem. As a globally recognized provider of NFT data infrastructure services, NFTScan now supports its 24th blockchain network, following Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNBChain, Polygon, Solana, Arbitrum, Optimism, Aptos, and others.

Introduction

Polygon zkEVM is an Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution built on zk Rollup. This solution utilizes ZK proofs to reduce transaction fees, and improve throughput, all while maintaining Ethereum L1’s security. In practice, the L2 layer executes transactions and completes complex computations, compressing and batching multiple transaction data and creating a zero-knowledge proof result that is submitted to the mainnet (L1) for verification. Once the mainnet confirms the validity of the proof, the data is stored on the mainnet, ensuring shared security.

What sets Polygon zkEVM apart from other zkEVM projects is its Type 2 zkEVM classification. It strives to be fully compatible with EVM, although not entirely identical to Ethereum. Developers can seamlessly migrate EVM-compatible on-chain applications to this network without making any code modifications. They can also utilize all Ethereum tools to collaborate seamlessly on the zkEVM chain. Furthermore, alterations can be made to data structures that store Ethereum states and other inaccessible structures for the EVM. As a result, applications running on Ethereum can almost always operate flawlessly on Type 2 zkEVM rollup.
