Amazing article! I'm only a month in as a technical writer and sympathize greatly with the burnout and traction section. Technical articles feel so different from non-technical as there's a lot of behind the scenes research and learning involved.

A question that's been plaguing me is: How do technical writers handle the balance of educational yet entertaining content? I'd love to know your thoughts!

Hey Nathaniel, thanks for your feedback and you made a very good question! ๐Ÿงก

My answer for new writers is this balanced can only be reached through consistent writing - you will see what appeals and what doesn't on certain platforms. Some readers likes seeing random GIFs, pictures/screenshots of your work + your thought process, but some just want to see the instructions & main takeaways for them.

In trying to reach that balance, also remember why you're motivated to write ๐Ÿ‘ so while trying to please ur target audience, stay true to your personality!

All the best!
