I'm looking to rock out this Monday morning and could use some suggestions! So, give me your hardest rockin' tunes (sof...

I'm starting off my week with a bit of Rage Against The Machine, who are always guaranteed to get me hype!
One of my faves is "Sleep Now in the Fire"... the music video and story behind it are freaking awesome and still feel very relevant today. Check it out!
Also, if you're into Rage, you might enjoy watching this breakdown video from Polyphonic called "Why People Get Rage Against the Machine Wrong":
This remind me of this video cover, parenting done right 😁
Awww man, this just made my Monday! 😀
LOVE Rage Against the Machine. Have you heard Prophets of Rage? It was Tom Morello's "in-between" band right before Rage got back together.
Woot! Great to have a fellow Rage lover in the house. 🙌
And, I have not!! Gonna put that on now and see what's up. Thankya for the suggestion!
They're a little different than Rage but, it's got that Tom Morello signature guitar. They got some good jams for real 😀
Oh hell yeah it does! I'm tuning into this one right now and loving it:
For the past 5 years, I'm seeking underrated artists from various genres, mostly indie pop artists. And I discovered some rock bands along the way. Here are some rock songs that still stuck in my head:
Oooo lotsa fun indie rock here! I used to really dig Bombay Bicycle Club and actually saw'em live in Scotland in ~2015 when I lived over there. They kinda fell off my radar, so this was a cool way to get caught up with'em.
based on desc in the MV video, 2015 was like their last year before hiatus and they come with this single in 2020.
Maybe the above list isn't underrated after all hahaha. Spotify & Youtube recommendation (after you played your own playlist) effectively introduced me to those artists.
Niiice! Gotta love it when the algorithm gets it right. 🙌
One the indie side, not long ago I discovered Daniel Norgren who kinda has bluesy, folky sound that gets quite trancey too... at least in the album Buck that's kinda his sound.
Check out the song Howling Around My Happy Home:
This feels like Country and Blues music chills tunes combined.
Aww yeah, I look back and your list has grown today! That's what up. 🙌
I came back several times as I remember some songs in the playlist.
People may find the list is kind of biased to psychedelic rocks and indie rock that sound unlikely to rock in general, but they're recognized as rock bands.
Oh totally! You are most def welcome to come back and add as many tunes as you want. I really enjoy digging through'em all.
Also, I really, really like your suggestions! The category I threw out was "rock" and that's super broad. I'm happy you took it in the direction that ya did; I too am a lover of indie and psychedelic rock. 🙌 Once again, our musical tastes overlap, haha.
In the coming weeks, I might focus us in on different subsets of rock, like "indie rock", "psychedelic rock", "classic rock", "hard rock", "metal", etc. 🎸
Yesterday morning while I was getting ready for work and doing dishes, I popped on this live performance by The Doors and was reminded how original they were and just how incredible they could be live...
There's no bassist, just Ray Manzarek's gifted left hand hammering out bass lines on the keys, while his right hand twinkles along the high keys. Loving the drum fills and all around psyhedelic jazzy style of John Densmore! Robby Krieger's bluesy guitar riffs noodling along nicely with everybody. And finally, the charismatic Jim Morrison's percussive baritone and unhinged screams pair so nicely with the strange, carnival blues his fellow bandmates are conjuring up. One thing that really strikes me about what they do here is the dynamics — how they deftly move from quiet to loud and back again.
I'll stop jabbering... hope y'all enjoy it!
My favorite series that keeps me hooked on Dev. This community rocks!
So glad ya dig this series, Mahmoud. 😀
Started the week with a killer song of the new Gaerea record. Got a copy of the limited vinyl edition.
Warning - it's hard sitting still while listening to this monster track
Oooo yeah! This is heavy and holy crap these folks are on point. I have very little knowledge of metal, but I think this might fall into the black metal category, right? I don't mean to box them into a single genre, but as a music lover I like to know about all the different genres and sub-genres.
Another thing, the video is just as intense as the song and I love that they really just filmed them performing versus crafting a narrative music video. Also, whoever did the lighting here deserves a lotta props... they definitely captured the right mood and the speed of everything. I like to think that they can probably recreate this in a live scenario too.
All around good share! Appreciate ya dropping this!
I like a group from Argentina called La Rata Blanca who does an interesting mix of power metal and bits of classical music
Never heard of these folks before, but this is dope! Thanks so much for sharing. 🙌
My Monday morning jam started with Coheed and Cambria's Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV pt. 1
Then I'm gonna follow that up with The Offspring's Greatest Hits
Rock on! Two fantastic bands right there!
Cannot go wrong with Motorhead
Oh hell yeah! Gotta love that heavy 70's sound. 🤘
Loving that you shared a live performance. Metallica rocks! 🎸
I had a long Monday (Mondays being Mondays 😫) so I'll put in some relaxing space rock for this musical day:
Oooo yeah, relaxing indeed. 😌
I know so little about space metal, but I'm really digging this jam.
A friend of mine who I used to jam with growing up formed a band called MAKE (here's their bandcamp page) and your suggestion kinda reminds me of them.
