Day One

Just successfully completed the first day of my software development program. Met my cohort of 24 other learners. One thing my instructor said that stuck with me was how we approach computer software development in a backwards way. We push students to major in computer science, but in many of those programs, learners don't get to work on tangible, real-world projects until later, perhaps when they've lost interest in the subject. In our program, we're going to dive headfirst into practical projects, and save the theory for later, or as needed. I wish more educators thought like that.
