It could be. My experience so far is that I'm quite succesful in following enough accounts to catch the interesting things as they happen (I saw the initial posts of dev.to there) but not too much to be overwhelmed and panic in FOMO.
Maybe it also depends on your interests, and how much they are represented there. For example, I don't follow javascript frameworks; that would need too much time every day to read.
