Can i get a review or tips for my portfolio website?

Hello everyone!

I'm graduating this year and got hired by a company through campus placement. But due to quarantine(coronavirus) joining is to be delayed.

So I decided to work as a freelancer developer and joined Upwork. But so far got one project only. Then due to lack of works, I decided to build a small personal website for myself. So i can get more projects but no luck.

LINK: https://keshavjha.me.

It's built using HTML,CSS(SCSS),JQuery(masonry) and hosted on netlify.

I want you guys to review my portfolio and tell me, where do i lack or can improve. Also any suggestion for self improvement to get better opportunities are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

There are just way too many things in featured technologies. What can i do part seems also not important, your projects already both of them anyway. There should be less parts in the page i think. Also maybe seeing your picture at the top could have been better, just my opinions.

First of all thanks for the review, really appreciate it.
can you please specify that which sections are extra? So that i can remove those or i will try to merge those with others in next update.

I will align a pic at top in next update 😊😊

You can remove 'what can i do' and 'featured technologies', after that write more things about your projects. I will share two personal websites i really liked, maybe they can give you ideas. Also write only your title next to your picture after putting. Details should be in 'about me' part.

You can mention your expertise in 'about me' part, instead of listing them in a whole part.

I think your page is great!
Only thing that confused me a bit was:

"I code and develop simple things, and I love what I do."

I would skip the "simple". It sounds to me like you are a beginner and afraid of doing something great. Your pages might LOOK simple/clean (in a manner of UX) but they might not be simple to implement! Present yourself like a professional, because your websites look professional and first impression is always important :)

My rough suggestion:

"I turned my hobby into a job by professionally designing and implementing applications for web and mobile"

Hope you understand what I'm talking about.. keep it up!

Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.

I got it and for sure i will improve the content part. Actually i don't have good knowledge of English and communication but in quarantine, I'm trying to improve these skills. 😊

It looks great! The only changes I'd recommend are related to the copywriting.

e.g. "Following are few of my top recent works", should be "Following are a few of my top works". " I'm doing programming for more than 3 year's now" should be "I've been programming for more than 3 years now."

It would probably help to pass most of the text in your website through something like grammarly.com. Spelling, grammar, word choice leave a big impression imo.
