As I work often with diagram images for an overview of my architecture, I thought it would be nice if you could directly jump from the picture to the AWS console.
Well, it turns: out no problem with draw.io (or similar programs). Its just four simple steps:
Step one draw big picture
Here is an example
Step two: create resources
Start here or even better here
Step three: Copy url
Goto the resource in the console and copy the url.
Step four: Edit link
This is in german, but you should find it
Voila - now you can jump from your big picture overview diagram to the resources.
What do you think, is it worth writing a patch for cfn-diagrams to create these links automatically?
