honestly, I can not start coding without music!
Same, my day would be ruined if I forgot my headphones for a day
Silence for coding mainly, unless it's something simple.
I use noise-cancelling headphones even when in a quiet room, there is some psychological effect that makes me feel more comfortable with them on.
With music
I prefer coding with music, I get on my zen mode with my personal Playlist 😂🧘🏻♂️

Usually with music. Electronic. Must not contain vocals. Sometimes I will use mynoise.net (I'm listening to Black Hole right now).

Buuuuuuut: One could question this. IMO it's like sitting on the toilet with or without your phone. It would probably be better without but most of the times...

Music because it is almost impossible to be in a room with 100% silence. If you want to get into your Zen coding mode then music is the way to go.
