Thanks for including the adjustable playback rate! I'm used to listening to things a bit faster than normal, so when I don't have that option it sounds weirdly slow.

I don't usually listen to podcasts so I ended up trying a few players that didn't have those controls before realizing I could just listen directly from your site 😍

worth noting that ARIA range sliders are presently inaccessible on iOS. :(

I didn't know that, but changing it to a normal range input is high on my to-do list (I think I mentioned it in the post haha).

I got the idea to do that from Able Player

Fairly straight forward to style, but repetitive. And no downsides if altering the styles for screen readers:

Ana Tudor's got an excellent breakdown into the guts of the element: css-tricks.com/sliding-nightmare-u...

Thanks, Scott! I am going to be playing with it, I have an idea of how I want to do it and I may ping you to see what you think!

+1 on transcripts. They allow me to quickly get to something I vaguely remember (e.g "What was that site they recommended again? Fig-something?") without having to re-listen to the entire podcast.

Transcripts also allow you to search across all podcasts like this using a search engine:

I used to do transcription as a side job in high school/university (about 5 years ago) - it's interesting to hear that AI is finally catching up!

Do you have any recommendations on how to get started with Otter AI? I'm interested in trying it out.

We use Otter.ai to capture all our daily scrum meetings. The more you use it the better it learns your specific business jargon.

Pretty accurate as well if it can easily hear everyone talking.

Best part is doing the voice setup for team members and watching it dialog a meeting knowing who's talking when. Very helpful for searchable meeting notes.
