Frameworks are good because of many many reasons, just to name a few:

• cover your back on security side
• enforce good patterns (if team is not highly organsied)
• makes devs search and on-boarding much easier
• etc. It looks to me that by stating "no frameworks at all" - you've covered only one side of the story )
