I work for one of Auth0’s biggest clients, AMA about using their product at scale!

Hey!

I work on IAM for one of Auth0’s biggest clients (Over 1 million users).

I’d love to answer any questions you have about how we use Auth0, challenges we’ve faced, or our general experience using their service!

Ask away!

P.S: I’m not here to bash Auth0, they have been an absolute pleasure to work with.

I am working on a app that will be using authentication, I haven't determined which service I will use yet, so I have a couple of questions.

  • Does it scale well?
  • is it reliable?
  • have you had any major issues?

  • haven’t had any issues with scaling.
  • haven’t had any male downtime, reliability has been good.
  • have had a couple issues that would be considered major. But the response has been lightning fast and very professional

  • How's it for pricing?
  • Do you recommend it for smaller apps?
  • What does your company do?

  1. I haven't got eyes on how much we are paying, as it's a enterprise contract. But as someone who has used them independently I think they're pretty reasonable. And they're free for open source!

  2. Definitely. It can be a little bit of a learning curve to get set up at first, but it definitely reduces the hassle of building your own solution.

  3. It's a large utility company.
