Open source software has blown up quite well now that a good percentage of people have turned to it. Gone are the days (well.. mostly) when a "free" product was dealt skeptically because it sounded too good to be true.
Recently I started a purge of a certain kind - kicking out proprietary products as much as I can. I became successful in a few areas. So I decided to write a series of articles which could help people who are into self hosting and have been eager for quite some time, to switch to open source products.
I will only be covering a handful of them so you're more than welcome to suggest more. I'll definitely try them and write about them.
Also, this is my first time writing developer articles so bear with me. This is a new experience but as far as I've seen in the dev.to community, it's going to be a wonderful one too.
