I'm curious, why jot ? You could use seq -f '#%g' -s ', ' 275 312, maybe I'm missing something.
seq -f '#%g' -s ', ' 275 312
Or I am! seq certainly works in this case.
With jot you have some additional functionality, like printing random data, repeating words, or the ability to generate ASCII characters. Usefulness... 🤷🏻♀️
