Starting off this blog, I want to share a beautiful thought from my mentor, Omshree Butani, at the International Women's Day Celebration in Ahmedabad: "नारी समाजस्य कुशलवास्तुकारा" which means "Woman is the skilled architect of the society" in English. This Sanskrit saying holds deep meaning, emphasizing the vital role women play in shaping our society.
Reflecting on this, I'm grateful for the chance to help organize two big events: the International Women's Day Celebration by AWS UG Ahmedabad and CloudUp for Her by AWS UG Ahmedabad and AWS Cloud Club CHARUSAT at CHARUSAT University alongside an inspiring AWS community builder, Dimple Vaghela, and my personal inspiration, Omshree Butani.
EVENT -1 ~ International Women's Day Celebration by AWS UG Ahmedabad
Unfortunately, I couldn't make it to the event due to a viral fever, but that didn't stop me from being part of the action! I was still actively involved, handling our social media live updates from home. And what a fantastic event it turned out to be.
As I said, it was a blast event. Starting with it, we had i-hub as our venue and food sponsor - a big thanks to Dimple Vaghela for arranging it. Our agenda was packed with engaging activities, from AWS technical sessions to inspiring talks by women entrepreneurs, and even cultural activities. Under the guidance of my co-organizers, Omshree Butani and Dimple Vaghela, I had the privilege of coordinating various tasks and managing the social media team. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a remarkable event alongside such dedicated individuals.

EVENT -2 ~ CloudUp on her by AWS Cloud Club CHARUSAT
As a student of CHARUSAT University and an AWS community builder , it was my privilege to organize an AWS event in CHARUSAT with AWS Cloud Club CHARUSAT and AWS UG Ahmedabad.
It all began during a casual dinner at AWS re:Invent re:Cap, where Dimple Vaghela mentioned the idea of celebrating International Women's Day at various universities and colleges, including CHARUSAT. Being from CHARUSAT, I was thrilled at the prospect, and thus began the journey of planning an event for around 200 students.
I reached out to Viraj Patoliya and Jay Lakhani, former Cloud Captains of CHARUSAT, and found solid support from the AWS Cloud Club. Collaborating with them was a delight as we guided our juniors through the event's ins and outs. We answered the questions that ranged from the seemingly simple, like "Should we tag them on linkedin??" to deeper discussions about event logistics and strategy.
Despite the tight timeframe of just two hours, we managed to pull off a successful event. We had a warm welcome from a CHARUSAT professor, an insightful technical session by Omshree Butani, and an engaging panel discussion featuring women in AWS, including Meera Kalaria, Omshree Butani, and Dimple Vaghela. And to top it off, I had the privilege of delivering the closing note at my own university.
None of this would have been possible without Dimple Vaghela, Omshree Butani, and all involved at CHARUSAT, along with the invaluable support of the AWS Cloud Club CHARUSAT.
As a heartfelt gesture, the university presented us with mementos, which held special significance for me. Especially since I have left the campus, being recognized by our HOD was an incredibly meaningful moment that I'll cherish forever.

Special Highlights :
One special moment was getting uplifting video messages from well-known leaders in the AWS community. These messages, from people like Jen Looper, Tracy Wang, and other influential women, really boosted the spirits of everyone at our events.
In wrapping up, these event aimed to uplift women in the AWS community and beyond, Personally, they were moments of pride and inspiration, reminding me of the power of unity and support.
