We are very proud, that Carolyn agreed to be a keynoter for JS Kongress 2020, and are looking forward to an inspiring talk.

Upfront we asked Carolyn a couple of questions so you can get to know her:

Why are you looking forward to JS Kongress?

There are a few events that have been on my radar since I’ve gotten into this whole conference thing and JS Kongress is one of them. Many people that I love and respect have spoken there, so I’m flattered to be added to that list. This will also be my first keynote presentation, which is both exciting and absolutely terrifying all at the same time.

What do you think of or associate with our motto for 2020: “Scaling JS — Pushing the Limits: Massive Platforms, Data-Driven Architectures, and Modern APIs?

The 2020 motto is a relevant one for many of us working in frontend development. In my work specifically, I try to find intersections between purely technical topics with other, often overlooked aspects of software engineering — think ethics, culture, accessibility, etc. So what I think I’m looking forward to the most is to see what intersection will be discussed throughout the events, whether on stage or during the ‘hallway track.’

Have you been to Munich before? Planning to do some sightseeing, in what are you interested especially?

Actually, I was just in Munich at the beginning of July for a wedding. While I did some sightseeing, there are still a few spots that I missed that I’m hoping to see while at JS Kongress. For example, Residenz München and I’d love to try some good brunch spots if anyone has recommendations.

[ed. If you know a good brunch spot in Munich, please let us know on speaker@js-kongress.com or get directly in touch with her via Carolyn Stransky or https://twitter.com/carolstran]
