I tried Kite last week and it is really good, unfortunately, it was consuming a lot of RAM (3GiB) on Ununtu
Kite should be using a maximum of 900 MB when in use and 200-300 MB when idle. I strongly encourage you to create an issue on their github repository so that they can assist you further on this.
