Re: Why use multiple cloud providers?

Different clouds present different trade-offs. For example, very commonly a client will use AWS for most things, but GCP for a simple marketing website, or a machine learning data pipeline.

An early stage company can exist for quite a while with no cloud expenses. By coding the app to a common subset of cloud features, a startup can consume free credits on all the different cloud providers, rotating between them.

Consider not relying on ChatGPT for cloud questions. I found the answers to be not very good. Take with a large grain of salt.
