Top 5 Web Development Newsletters

2 year ago, I felt that I missed out on important web design and development news. The reason for this was my decision to building my own minimalistic, yet robust business applications from scratch.

So how did I master this challenge? I subscribed to over 50 newsletters. After boiling them down, I want to share my top 5 picks. They helped me to land several internships in UX research, UX design, and Full Stack Development.

1. Product Hunt

"A place for product-loving enthusiasts to share and geek out about the latest mobile apps, websites, ...". What more can I say? This newsletter gives great ideas for projects, many development tools, and breathtaking design inspirations. P.S. the weekly newsletter gives more than enough input...

2. Webdesigner News

This newsletter helped me to brush up my design skills and provide me with many expert tools. My recent top pics are 10 best Chrome extensions for designers and A Beginner’s Guide to Psychology Principles in UX Design.

3. Nielsen Norman Group

Do you want to build products that really help your users? The Nielsen Norman Group provide UX tips directly from science, but in an easy to grasp format. One of my favorite discoveries was the user research collection. It shows the pros and cons of interviews and email surveys, among others.

4. JavaScript Weekly

For developing my frontend designs, I mostly use JavaScript or Typescript.
While I must admit, that it was hard to choose between this newsletter and Frontend Focus, I picked it for the many insightful links, tutorials, and tools. A no brainer for all JavaScript enthusiasts.

5. Hacker Newsletter

So what's the This newsletter gives you important technology, start, and software development articles. So what's the difference between Hacker Newsletter and Product Hunt? Simply the perspective straight from computer science - no frills.
