What are your Favorite Authors, on Which Topics, and Why?

I think the title says it all? I am thinking mainly about authors writing on DEV.to but feel free to mention your favorite writers outside. This ...

Of the users who aren't super active anymore:
@tux0r (I have a soft-spot for his unhinged opinions, though occasionally problematic)
@jrswab (genuinely a good writer)
@chantastic (absolute goober who's written some genuinely helpful articles)
@dmfay (some really cool older articles and formerly a prolific commenter with great insight into an array of topics)

Currently active users:
@joaofbantunes (never read or watched one of his videos without learning something)
@missamarakay (genuinely good writer and consistently makes me think about DX in a new way)
@jwoertink (unique perspective from an, uhhh, unconventional industry and really gets me thinking about alternative solutions architecture)

Wow thanks a lot. I had a look at all of them and found some pearls
(the others are good too, just writing about other parts of the industry than mine).

Was it tux0r who wrote....

Haven't had the time to check out a lot of devs here but I'd like to mention @gregorygaines, he makes interesting content that isn't the usual run-of-the-mill "here's X blazingly fast tricks in X language" buzz word fest.

Off dev.to, I like to skim through Fireship's old content both on his main and off channel, One lone coder for the low level stuff, Ben Eater for the more low level stuff and Mental outlaw just to keep up with technology controversies.

I found the gameboy stuff more interesting, but yes that particular article was quite a show.

Also, I think there's an extra "h" at the start of your portfolio GitHub link (hhttps://github.com/jmfayard/).

I really like reading Tony Robalik articles
on topics such as #gradle #benchmarking #gradle-best-practices.
My favourite article is: Abusing gradle class loader hierarchy

It would probably be useful to provide a list of some great articles from @aspittel if you are not aware of her work for some reason

I learned so much from her writings here. But incredibly this is only a part of what she does, she also has a great podcast, a twitch, ...
