We've tried adding non-technical tasks to our sprint planning but found that things tended to rot and clutter the board. Now we only stick to technical issues on our ZenHub board. BUT, we do mention the non-technical stuff we may be working on during our daily standup.
I think that is kind of the "compromise" we have currently hit as well. It does not seem to fit well. The only thing I don't like about doing that is I like seeing all my tasks slowly move into the "done" column and if I have a week loaded with non technical tasks then I don't get to see that :( . . . but that's just my pedantic side.

ha, I totally agree with that feeling. I need the reward of crossing something off the list!
