I really enjoyed reading your post. It's interesting that you mention "Server-Side routing" as a trend and then bring up GraphQL as one of the issues for a large bundle size.

Coincidentally, we've developed a solution (open source soon) to put GraphQL on the server and expose GraphQL Operations dynamically as a REST API. This way, the client is only about 2kb in size and can leverage http layer caching. I'm curious what you think about the concept.
