Front-End Foxes is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, tax-exempt charity registered in Massachusetts, USA. We are people who identify as women and who want to learn front-end technologies to make websites and mobile apps. After a successful Spring cohort with 80 students worldwide, we are happy to open a new two-class cohort lasting 5 weeks, starting September 6th.

Founded by Jen Looper in February 2018, Front-End Foxes mission is to create and host educational events to teach front-end technologies to women in a cool and fun way. Our activities include free self-driven code labs completed in a workshop format in groups with mentoring by volunteers, either online or in-person. The goal of the program is to familiarize women with front-end technologies in a supportive and inclusive environment.
In 2021 we launched a new online boot camp to teach development skills to women in a new and unique way. We are one of the very few non-corporate, free-of-charge community-supported bootcamps for women in the world.
What is Front-End Foxes School?
We propose to host, throughout the year, four cohorts of 5 weeks each. Each cohort will be designed for 40 students, with one paid, trained instructor teaching online twice a week, aided by volunteer mentor coaches.
We will teach the basics of web development starting with JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Paid instructors will be responsible for teaching the curriculum while volunteers will be sourced from our community of experienced developers.

Each cohort of 20 students will be taught by our experienced instructors, Jo Franchetti (London time zone) and Ifeoma Nwosu (Lagos time zone)
Our Goals
🦊 We teach cohorts of women front-end web development skills, skills often not taught in college.
🦊 Provide opportunities for companies to help improve the pipeline of well-trained new developers for the front-end ecosystem.
🦊 Offer networking opportunities on our Slack channels
Front-End Foxes School is a part-time program, taught twice a week in the evenings - perfect for working women, students and moms. We will ALWAYS be free of charge for students with no strings attached.
