See, that I can totally understand. When our company needed to sign up for Aliyun (like AWS) I had to get our technical director to do it because it wouldn't accept my foreigner info.
Interestingly, I'm the opposite when it comes to debit vs credit cards. If something is going to get stolen I'd rather it be my credit card where I can dispute the transaction, easily freeze the account, or use a temporary, one-time number (some banks also provide this). I never let anyone close to my bank account.
Pay it off every month and it's more like "buffer" than debt. 😎
Yes, but I have a separate bank account for expenses that hardly has any money in it except for when I have to spend, and I never get charged unless I authenticate the payment with password and OTP. I'm so used to that, and so the concept of someone being able to draw money from me with just my card number is so alarming.
