Learn Through Projects 1: Event Timer

As I mentioned last week, I was going through Florin Pop's tutorial on YouTube. and I have completed the first project. In order to keep what I learned, I built it myself with looking at the tutorial and added some features. I am also planning to add more features, but I guess I will have to learn new concepts (as for me). Nonetheless, I'll put it here for your suggestions.

Image description

It is a simple one. But I am learning a lot. It has no background image yet, as I am planning to add a feature that would allow the user to set his own.

Features added:

  • Ability to set the name of the event
  • Ability to change the date of the event
  • Control section that can be toggled (show/hide)

Features/Task for future development:

  • Ability to change background
  • Set multiple timers where a user can choose from his timer which one he would like to broadcast
  • Publish to chrome as a web extension.

I am motivated to complete this project as I learn by building project so that it can be used for our church events.

Here is the github page.

As a Christian, I also write blogs about the goodnews. If you are interested, please read here: The Glorious Gospel

To God be the glory!
