My first post at Dev.to

Well, title is self explanatory. So just wanted to make my first post as a personal introduction. I’m here restarting my developer career, which I quit seven years ago when I burned out. I learned about The Odin Project from somewhere after going down a rabbit hole trying to find out wether a boot camp was worth the money or not. So I’m really surprised to have found this amazing project TheOdinProject is. And I’ve just started! I’m quite excited about what will come in the following lessons.
I would also like to meet other developers and participate in community projects.

Welcome back to Development and welcome to DEV.

Look forward to hearing about your journey and I am sure that this time around you will have the experience to know to pace yourself. You can do it and we want to hear about what you are learning so I hope to keep seeing you pop up in my feed! ❤️💪

Hi Justin, thank you for this comment. I hope too. I’m learning differently this time, and as mentioned in a previous comment, this time I have background experience, and that’s a pro to face the long journey. Best wishes.

Hey there! Welcome. The Odin Project is an excellent choice to get you going. Get rolling on a GitHub profile too - it makes sharing code and syncing workspaces between machines waaaaay easier.

Hi Marissa, firstly thank you for welcoming me. And secondly thank you for sharing your opinion on the project I’m just starting with to learn web developing. Also thank you for your recommendation about creating a GitHub profile, I’ve got it already. So I have to learn to use it properly this time.
Best wishes to you too.

Hi pypdeveloper, Thank you! Best wishes.

This post blew up on DEV in 2020:

🚀⚙️ JavaScript Visualized: the JavaScript Engine

As JavaScript devs, we usually don't have to deal with compilers ourselves. However, it's definitely good to know the basics of the JavaScript engine and see how it handles our human-friendly JS code, and turns it into something machines understand! 🥳

Happy coding!
