If you’re running a WordPress service agency or build websites for a living, you’re likely familiar with the so-called “feast & famine” cycles....

Great write up. Care plans are so vital to an agency. When you can tip the scales from having to "hunt" every month to cover your bills, to having all expenses covered by reurring revenue- it completely changes your business.
Thanks for chiming in, Kyle!
I especially like your approach of taking out all care plan payments until the very end of the month - so you trick your brain into thinking you have to earn more money than you actually do.
Cheers!
P.S.: I hope somebody reads this comment to discover this golden nugget lol
Couldn't have said it better myself, Kyle. Feast or famine is not the only option anymore!

This is really useful post.
Several times I found myself talking with colleagues about how different and difficult could be the 2 main activities: sale and write code. If you are good in one of this subject you are not in the other
Arol, I agree to your point. Most developers couldn't care less about selling and that's a pity if their business depends on them selling.
If you can find ways to communicate how maintenance plans benefit your existing customers (talk about their goals, not about tech stuff!), then even a dev can sell :)
I am definitely decent at sales and trash at writing code :)
Jan, Man. You have no idea how helpful this article has been!
Thanks!

Jan is the man! And if you thought this was helpful, just wait for his agency summit coming up. Gonna be epic :) wpagencysummit.com
And you have no idea how much that feedback means to me, Rohan :)
Keep on crushing!
Great post Jan – keep up the great work! 🖖
Thanks, Alex! Means a lot coming from you :-)
