I think it ultimately depends on how often you use what you're Googling. I don't think, outside of school, it's problematic to Google stuff, but if you end up googling the same thing every day, than it's probably better to sit down and learn the fundamentals and save yourself the time.
I wish some of my coworkers were more google-savvy. They ask me lots of computer-ish questions. I dump their questions word for word into google and get an answer in seconds. Why not save us both the time, and Google First, ask me later?
