Hi,
.io is cool domain for startups, but I would prefer to get .org (old-school extension for non-commercial and open-source stuff) domain for an educational project.
As of your idea in general, let me disagree, there are tons of free and top-quality materials for Java, either academic or non-academic. Books, exercises, videos etc.
What I could suggest (it was my idea, but I'm to lazy), you can build a study plan when you guide a student from 0 to implementing something useful. Take an easy web framework, like Spark or Javalin or FXGL game engine and process students from variables class to creating of something completed.
The main problem of free tutorials that they are disordered. In other words instead of building several unconnected tutorials, build one solid system from 0 to hero.
I’m a motivated web developer with a passion to learn more. I’m a long time student of fitness, and my goal is to change the unhealthy stereotype of tech through a movement called #TheFitDevProject
Yes that’s exactly the idea! I didn’t mean there aren’t great resources, there just isn’t a place that has everything I need to become a web developer. I want to make a place that has an all in one. Thanks for your feedback!
