I do a hobby i.e making YouTube videos or doing photography/videography for clients (earns me something in return though). However, those are extra tasks I consider 'Hobby', but can earn me income.

As a last resort, I just watch YouTube videos and listen to music.

I like to walk. Taking time out of my day to get in few steps, to 2 hour walks on the weekends really goes a long way. Also, once the stress loads up, like right after I hear some bad news or have something fail... I like to take a deep breath or two and try to remind myself that these things happen

Music does a lot for me, it's my spiritual activity. Driving a turbocharged Subaru with an obnoxious exhaust is wonderful for your stress levels too until you blow your engine. Sometimes I make pretty poor decisions like reckless spending (why I have the world's most impractical car in the first place), or just going on a bunch of Tinder dates to distract myself.

I started making a real effort to re-engage in energizing activities. I've long been a fan of attending live music performances (hate "live" recordings) - seeing hundreds of concerts in my 20s. But, a couple of travel jobs in my late 20s through late 30s nearly broke me of it.

When my job changed such that I could work from home with frequency, I set up my work space to have music going. Music helps mask the far more distracting (to me) random noises. That rekindled my desire to take in live music performances. So, now I'm back to going to a couple concerts per quarter ...and, last year, started going to festivals again (it's only about 40 days til I need to hop a plane to Vegas to go to EDC, again!).

I still get really crispy from work frustrations. But having fun events to look forward helps me get through them.

When things aren't going according to plan, as it usually does at unexpected times when working, I usually take a step back and turn to exercise. It helps me "reset" my mind and come back to the problem with a fresh perspective.

I reserve to me some time in isolation in nature. No girlfriend, no people, no useless things. Only nature, music and my bike/feet.

What works for me most of the time is taking time off and relaxing. I tend to see a movie, take a nap or listen to soothing music to calm things down.
