Events to look forward to in 2022, just a small and subjective selection from the perspective of a European web developer focused on front-end development, accessibility, and sustainability.
This is a repost, you can read the same content in my blog "Open Mind Culture" which used to feature less technological topics, but somehow I want to switch back to more Indie Web publishing to be more independent of "social" networks like ("Tech") Twitter, Meetup, and maybe even DEV (which is currently the only social platform for technical content that doesn't either suck or is nearly abandoned like mastodon seems to be.

Glad that there are so many in-person meetups again! Today, Green Coding Berlin teams up with PyData Berlin for a session about cloud energy consumption at Factory Campus near Görlitzer Park.
Tomorrow will be another "What happens in React" at OOPictures in Berlin-Lichtenberg, and next Tuesday (like every Tuesday) live coding together in Moabit (near Berlin central station) at Berlin Javascript Tech Group.
Many meetups have already done hybrid events, with an actual meeting where people can meet, chat and have a drink together, plus the option for external visitors to join via video where they can ask questions as well. The in-person part makes hybrid meetups stand out from online-only sessions.
Hybrid events that I attended, or plan to attend, in 2022 include WordPress Munich Meetup, WooCommerce Meetup Karlsruhe and uXchange Cologne.
Other meetups worth noting, despite focusing on online events, are the Sustainable Offsite (SOS) Cologne Green Software Development Karlsruhe and Creatives for Future Germany.
Added JSWORLD AFRICA to the list.
