• Don't worry about what other people write. Write what you want to write.
• As a newbie, you're not looking to be a thought leader; you're looking to document your journey.
• Engage in commenting on other Dev.to posts, somtimes those discussions will inspire new posts for you to author

As far as where to start - how about your story?

• Who are you? Where are you from?
• What's your backstory? How did you get into development, what do you do now, and what do you hope to do in the future?
• What are your skills? Are you currently building any skills?
• Do you have any accomplishments you want to share?
• Have you found anything challenging?
