Ⅱ Installation
2-1 Insert the successfully written USB flash drive into the USB port of the PC where you need to install the system, press the On/Off button, and then quickly hit the F7 or F11 key on the keyboard (depending on the model, you can refer to the shortcut keys corresponding to the model in the following figure) to enter the boot setup, and then select the USB flash drive with the prefix UEFI: Enter to enter the installation wizard. If the USB flash drive is not recognized in the boot setup, please press Del or F2 key to enter BIOS setup and select Save & Exit > Boot Override, select UEFI: USB flash drive prefixed with Enter to enter the installation wizard.
2-2, select the installation mode (usually choose Try or install Ubuntu).
2-3, select the system language and click lnstall Ubuntu.
2-4, select the keyboard layout and click Continue to enter the next step.
2-5. Select Normalinstallation and cancel Download updates while installing Ubuntu to save installation time. Click Continue to go to the next step.
2-6, select Erase disk and install Ubuntu and click Install Now, select Continue partition, go to the next step.
2-7、Choose your region and click Continue.
2-8, Your name: enter the user name, Choose a password: enter the password. (Please remember the password entered here.) After confirming that there is no error, click Continue to start installing the system, this step usually takes about 10 minutes, please wait until the installation is complete.
2-9、After completing the installation, remove the USB flash drive, select Restart Now, and then press Enter to enter the system desktop after reboot.
Ⅲ, ubuntu system many times need root privileges to use normally, the following introduction to open the root user and set the root password steps.
3-1, press Ctrl + Alt + T keys to open Terminal (Terminal), user@user-virtual-nachine:~s: enter sudo passwd root and enter, in turn, enter the current login user password, to set the root password, confirm the root password. (Note: It is recommended that you use a combination of upper and lower case letters and numbers for the root password, not less than 8 digits, such as Abc123456). When "passwd: password updated successfully" appears, it means the password is set successfully!
3-2、When you need to use root privileges, enter su root in Terminal, and enter root password in Password to switch to root user. When "root@user-virtual-machine: / home/user#" appears, it means the switch to root is successful!
