I am an electrical engineer fresh graduate with a 2.4 GPA. I have landed a job at Ericsson as an integration engineer fresh graduate. I was hired among the 500 top lebanese applicants. The candidates had a gpa higher than 3.7/4 with a telecommunication bachelor and masters degree.
To keep it short, personality and honesty played a major role to claim that position, since I was able, during the interview, to convince the interviewers that low gpa doesn’t reflect my attitude, dedication and enthusiasm to work hard.
I believe that this simple trick was the key that granted that position st Ericsson.
The trick is: Trick yourself by not getting excited about something even though you’re so delighted to have it.
From my personal experience, if you want something really bad, you will not get it. So why not pretend that you don’t want it but deep inside you are dying to have it.
