I agree that not everyone is willing to spend 500 euro for a dev license, but when compared with competitors like SonarQube's pricing NDepend's pricing seems quite fair, and it offers so much more.
From a company's perspective I think the cost needs to be weighed against the benefit - what is the price of technical debt generated without the tool, and will this offset the price of the tool?
