I first stumbled upon the JAM stack at the Caribbean Developer Conference, great conference by the way. I decided to have a closer look, and has since then grown a certain fondness of it.
It stands for JavaScript, API and Markup, and the basic idea is to create static websites that calls APIs when in need of dynamic data or functionality.
You will probably see more of the JAM Stack here, since I'm using it to build two of my most recent sites. In the mean time go check it out.
