ELT is an acronym for Extract Load Tranform. It is a data engineering process of pulling (extracting) data from a source, packing it (loading) into a destination store, and then converting it (transforming) into any form or shape you want.
Unlike ETL(Extract, Transform, and Load), where the result of the process is data that is different from the original data, ELT enables duplication,replication, of the source data, hence guarantees the availability of data in case of failure or loss of the source data.
The process of data replication can be manual or automatic. We will focus on the automatic process using an open-source tool called Airbyte to elt mysql-to-mysql.
