I really hate Microsoft (I'm Linux user since 2005), but I accept that VS Code is the best code editor right now. I used Kate, SublimeText and Atom, but VS Code runs faster (to be a Electron-based), have a excellent extensions, modern features, and very intuitive interface.
It doesn't looks like a Microsoft supported project jaja.
I use windows and I find this offensive lol , I was using sublime and I think I'lll give VS xode a try, you 're encouraging me to do this .
Thanks for your comment Dario ♥
I'm the Director of Developer Relations at Aiven. I host the Arrested DevOps podcast. I run DevOpsDays Chicago and devopsdays.org. I pretend to be a Go developer sometimes.
Given that OSS mainstays like Jesse Frazelle have made their peace with the “new Microsoft” and even work there, I think this whole “Linux people hate Microsoft” thing needs to die.
This isn’t slashdot in 2002 :)

Damn, you mentioned using Kate before, my preferred editor... now I'm going to have to try VS Code.
Proportional font by default! Yes! It passed my first test with flying colors. Thus I'll be forced to try and use this thing some more.
